Celebrate Buffalo Real Estate

Here is some good news to help you celebrate the Buffalo real estate market. A 2011 survey conducted by the National Association of Realtors finds Buffalo real estate is the second best housing market in the entire country.  That's right!

The median home price for Buffalo real estate rose 10 percent in the first quarter of 2011. Buffalo is right behind a city which many former Western New Yorkers now call home: Charlotte, North Carolina. Wow! That’s great news. So is there any down side to Buffalo having the second best housing market in the country?

Well, actually there is. If you are one those buyers who is sitting around waiting on the  sidelines hoping to pick up a Buffalo real estate bargain, consider this: you will be hard pressed to find a real estate agent anywhere who is predicting that interest rates will go down. So if everyone, and I mean everyone, is predicting interest rates to go up, and prices are up year over year, that Buffalo real estate you were waiting to buy will almost definitely cost you more this year than it did last.  More than likely this trend will continue for the forseeable future, Buffalo real estate prices will be more next year than this.
